The #270ARESW 3/4 inch Rolled Edge Skew from Crown is used for producing beads, tapers, v-grooves, straight cuts, and parting cuts. This skew combines the traditional flat bar shape with added advantage of gently rounded edges. This hybrid design improves control and reduces catching and dig-ins when moved along the tool rest. The 3/4 inch (19mm) wide blade is made from M2 High Speed Steel (HSS) and hardened to Rockwell 62-64. Tool is approximately 15 inch long overall with an 8-1/2 inch long stained Beech handle.
